TEMBEA | to walk

The Swahili saying Tembea uone roughly translates as “if you really want to see something, you have to walk it”.

This is our belief – in an age of hyper-mobility, we can travel more than ever. But we tend to move fast, our story often told to our networks through a screen. We try to hit as many places as possible, ticking off a list of countries, challenges, achievements.

Yet the connection and authenticity we crave takes time than we often give. Disconnecting, experiencing, moving, exploring – a place, and yourself. A story is more than a snap taken on the way to another stop on the list.

Our design reflects being grounded but not being afraid to leap. Taking time to walk and see those places on earth that make our hearts sing, that make us feel small. Of places that spark an adventure in the back of our mind that nags us until we’re just crazy enough to do it. Our pieces

Invite a conversation about a personal adventure, a journey, the people you met and your story of a place.

Tembea Worn Earth was born in the shadow of the Roof of Africa, Mount Kilimanjaro, and we’ll go from there to expand our reach to places that inspire us all across this beautiful planet of ours.
